As part of a multidisciplinary team of approximately 25 students from ETH Zurich and other universities, I contributed to the independent design, manufacturing, and testing of a next-generation Hyperloop pod. The project focused on creating a functional, floating pod capable of revolutionizing long-distance mobility.
Integrated Design Approach: My contribution focused on Industrial and Graphic Design, bridging the gap between high-end engineering and a cohesive visual identity.
Technological Innovation: The pod features a custom-developed linear induction motor and modular subsystems designed for maximum efficiency and stability.
Lightweight Engineering: The structure utilized a lightweight carbon fiber frame and a self-manufactured carbon fiber shell to minimize weight and optimize performance.
Award-Winning Excellence: The pod’s performance at the European Hyperloop Week 2021 in Valencia earned several prestigious honors, including awards for Best Electronic Subsystem, Best Propulsion, Best Levitation, and Best Overall Design.
Industry Recognition: The team also received industry awards for power electronics from Nevomo and thermal management from Würth Elektronik.
Design Ecosystem: The development process was supported by professional design and visualization tools, including Fusion360, Keyshot, InDesign, and Sketchbook.
