This experiential digital installation addresses the ecological crisis of the global fashion industry. By transforming old garments into immersive bathtubs, the project provides a space to confront the consequences of mass consumption through a meditative, sensory experience.
Immersive Installation: The project adopts the aesthetic of a bathhouse, where tubs filled with textiles invite visitors to engage sensually with the materials they often consume unconsciously.
Spatial Design & Privacy: The room is centered around a skylight, with four bathtubs arranged in a pentagon layout to ensure visitors feel protected and avoid direct eye contact, fostering a private space for reflection.
TexBrick Material Innovation: A core component of the project is "TexBrick," a material developed through research into the environmental impact of synthetic textile waste on landfills and groundwater.
Sustainable Research: Developed in collaboration with Timo Flury, the TexBrick experiments involved melting synthetic textile scraps with polypropylene (PP) to find a high-utility, reusable purpose for non-recyclable fibers.
Technical Execution: The installation was meticulously realized using Fusion360, Blender, and Photoshop to visualize a community space where visitors are reminded that while they "sit in the same tub," they are individually responsible for their consumption footprints .
